This year in Community Bible Study, I have been team teaching the four and five year olds. Last week I got to teach the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. (Yes, I know they had Hebrew names, but I can't remember how to spell those, either.)

Thanks to the graciousness of Mrs. Letellier, I was able to borrow enough little people to tell the story Fisher Price (TM) style. Without her help, I would have had no-top hat Nebuchadnezzar, no Abednego, and no mob to bow to the giant statue.

Many thanks, Mrs. Letellier.

A First for Sarah

Curt coached as I carved my first pumpkin this fall. He was quite small, but I had a lot of fun forming a face where all that goop had been. I wish he had not molded so quickly. :(

Sigh.

Goodbye, Jack.

Sleepy Giraffe

Megan loved having her Grandparents Gwin come for a visit. She brushed up on all her old words and learned tons of new ones determined to impress them. She showed off many toys and tricks. I think it worked. They seemed to like her.

She loves the new office chair that Grandpa brought and put together. She wanted to spin (also pronounced 'bean, bean!') as long as anyone was willing to spin her. Longer, actually. After using up most of her energy convincing the adults to keep that chair spinning and the rest of said energy pretending to be a short giraffe, she promptly fell asleep in the chair.

Dr. Youngren would be so proud. Megan typically brushes her teeth for as long as her parents will allow her to keep at it. She cries when we take the b'ush away.

In which Megan attempts to walk a mile in someone else's shoes

If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, Curt has been properly flattered.

Time flies when you're having fun.

October 25, 2006. We celebrated our third anniversary by going out for a nice supper and leaving Megan at Aunt Carol's house. We enjoyed both the food and the company.

(Thanks, again, Carol!)
